Applications and Advantages of Vermiculite Pipe Supports

The resulting mixture forms into balls with a moisture content that allows it to be kneaded by hand without sticking. This mixture is placed into molds and subjected to high-temperature compression for approximately two hours. After removal from the molds, the product cools naturally. As a Class A1 non-combustible inorganic material, vermiculite pipe supports exhibit excellent flame retardancy with a fire resistance rating exceeding 3 hours. They release no toxic gases under high temperatures or fire conditions. Their lightweight nature, low thermal conductivity, and minimal water absorption make them ideal for thermal insulation, cold preservation, and heat shielding applications. Vermiculite pipe supports maintain dimensional stability even under extreme conditions—from sub-zero temperatures (below -163°C) to high heat. Their high compressive strength and bending resistance, combined with the porous nature of expanded vermiculite, make them an effective acoustic barrier.
