Vermiculite bricks for electrolytic aluminum cells are high-temperature and thermal shock resistant plates formed by pressing expanded vermiculite with special binders. Beyond sufficient rigidity and mechanical stability, they offer excellent insulation and low thermal conductivity. These panels resist corrosion from atmospheric CO and CH₄, liquid aluminum, and fluorides. They contain no harmful substances, asbestos, or mineral fibers.
Product Features:
1. Resistant to fluoride and cryolite permeation
2. High strength, low thermal conductivity
3. Extended service life (significantly longer than ceramic fiber boards)
Key Technical Specifications:
1. Fire resistance limit: Up to 1100°C
2. Thermal conductivity: @200°C, 0.13 W/(m·K)
3. Compressive strength: 2 MPa
4. Moisture absorption: ≤4.9% (Test conditions: Ambient temperature 26°C, humidity 70%, 144h)
Product Specifications:
1. Density: 450–1200 kg/m³, commonly available in 450 kg/m³ and 1100 kg/m³
2. Custom specifications available upon request.
