Commonly known as insulation board or fire-resistant board, vermiculite board is a new type of natural, eco-friendly fireproof material. As an inorganic material, marine vermiculite board is manufactured by uniformly blending expanded vermiculite with a specific proportion of adhesive. The mixture is molded under pressure through either hot or cold pressing. It possesses a melting point of 1370–1400°C and emits no harmful gases when heated to 1200°C, achieving Class A1 fire resistance.
Lightweight Material for Cruise Ship Interiors — Since the 1960s and 1970s, vermiculite boards have been widely used in Australia, the United States, Europe, and other countries as the filling material for fire doors, specifically as the vermiculite fire door core. Concurrently, they have been extensively applied in construction, shipbuilding, metallurgy, power generation, aerospace, and other fields internationally.
